Why this exists

Wanting to help and helping are further apart than they should be.

A convenient sign-up sheet is worth building. It is not the ambition.

What we want is for volunteering to feel like a normal, available part of an ordinary week. Something you can find when you have a free Saturday, the way you can find anything else. Not an act that takes the right connections or the right mailing list, but a visible option.

The goal is a community where the distance between “I would help if I knew how” and “I helped” is short.

What we believe

  • Showing up once still counts.
  • Finding the opportunity is the hard part.
  • Hours are a record, not a score.
  • Somebody stays up the night before making the sign-up sheet.
  • These records affect real decisions.

Who runs it

One person, not a company. That is not a line about being small. It is who answers when you write in, and who is responsible for how the platform works, what it does with your information, and every policy in the Legal Center.

It is new. A busy week on this website is not the achievement. Events that happened, and went well, are.
